I like these plastic boxes with lids on them. No equipment lost, lightweight and weatherproof. Less than $20 at Walmart. U-bolt them to the factory rack.

I use milk crates u bolted to a set of store bought basket racks. One thing I hate about milk crate are trap chains getting snagged in them. I cut out some panaling and/or 1/4 plywood to lay in bottoms to keep chains from slipping thru the holes.

lol, that`s just powder. you want real snow you get couple feet of wet heavy stuff on top of a foot of soup mud. we have to run out riggers like the polynesians do on their canoes. but ours are flotation devices. frigging wardens are arrestting atv`er for nortt wearing life jackets. now isn`t that he chits. and you think I`m kidding I bet.

Hey guys, Just back from a Wyoming antelope hunt More funny stuff put up again! I only go in that deep stuff when I have traps to get to. Gotta be responsible. No leaving a line unchecked.

Lynxie, you can line it with wood and you won't have the propblem with chains hangin up or losing j-hooks. All my boxes are built of wood and aluminum, back box comes up onto seat to keep load more centered, other wise you end up busting up the rack itself. A rubber mat in the bottom of box helps noise and vibration. Did all the expanded metal and crate thing years ago, now use totes and they sit inside of my box. Oh! dont get a Arctic Cat if you do much at all the frames are junk, Went through 2 in one year. No chit do a search. Got a siute going on right now

I put a piece of paneling or that thin pressed board on the bottom of my milk crates to keep the chains from dropping through...
