I don't even own a quad, but maybe someday. My little toyote 4x4 does just fine so far anyway. But I do like to look a racks! Don't we all, don't we all.....

Mason has all kinds of things I want: pink milk crate, cool wooden calls........ That ........ is the part that interests me! I don't even remember where I got that crate, but I'm sure I "acquired" it in back of a grocery store somewhere.

For trapping: wood box that 3 five gallon buckets fit into with room in the corners. On or off in seconds with heavy bungee cords. Different tools or supplies in different buckets. Just change the buckets for what the task at hand for the day will be. For big or heavy loads. Have put a half ton of hay on it or lots of minning stuff. For the snow

Hey there flat. Hows it going? For the most part a farm will keep ya broke. My spending money came from building power lines. Build most of everything from scrap. Have done a lot of dumpster diving in my time. Some cats two years ago bought the tracks for me. Did splurge a bit there.

Guy needs a SPARE wheeler to throw the tracks on...@#$$% snow can go away NOW with warm weather...then they'd be a PITA to remove..

Don't need to remove them Lynxie. Just keep going. They work on rocks, mud, swamp, sand, snow. Pretty much unstoppable. They make your machine work and eat gas, but they are the bomb.
Reminds me of the jocke about Italian tires . . . .
Day go through the mud, Day go through the snow, and when they get a flat they go "wop, wop, wop . . ."

Run tracks on dirt and you'll soon find out, the good soft ride of a 4-wheeler comes from the tires. They are rough riders and the steering will build the arm muscles. Also, getting a rock caught up in the tracks will destroy the rubber boggies. Snow only is their best use, but make sure you have enough bike to turn them, 500 or better. I haven't had the necessity to use mine on the trapline yet, and will stay on wheels as long as possible.

Find some of the army surplus 2.25" rocket boxes, they make great boxes for the 4-wheelers. About 11X11X30", a real good size. Knock off the 4 hold-downs on the sides and just use the end ones. I have one on the front of my old 250 'zuki for extra traps and drag hooks. I've got an 81 MM - 3 round box on the front of the 750 'zuki; it's shorter, but wider than the other box. The back box is plywood - glued and screwed together, sized for my bucket and about 3 dozen #3 LS traps. Also, a drop basket behind the rear rack.
