And yet MTP is tops in the industry bar none. Best to come out... TAKE the heat and bruises and move on. Avoidance is not in their best interest. Rob is more than welcome to come on HERE and help set things right and back on track... SINCE doing so on t/man isn't gonna happen. I have no doubt the traps in question are good traps... THAT is not the issue. The deception is i always thought that sterling was #1 and MTP was a close second. |

these days you cannot be sure where anything is made. Laclede chain is based in Mo. the tire chain plant is in Fenton and another in Maryville Mo. yet how many of you knew that some of the chain is manufactured across the pond. how many of you know that approximate 40% of our steel comes from tiwan or china? Bolts, rivets, J-hooks. and god only knows what else,. Korea has some of the best spring wire in the world, but only in certain sizes. If you had to buy only products 100% produced in the US you couldn't afford it. IMO the unions are 100% responsible for this by basically making it impossible to compete. You should be happy with the Quality and price they provide. China purchases much of our scrap to make the steel. Just like much of our wood products such as plywood. they purchase the logs from us and take it offshore and make the plywood on ships and ship it back, the same is true with veneer products. I advertise that all my products are manufactured here, anyone who has stopped by my shop can watch me stamp parts, bend, assemble the traps. can I be positive were the steel, spring wire, rivets , or my chain is made? No I can't. All I care about is that it is Quality! And I guess some on here don't have anything better to do but raise a stink. I wish more of you guys would have raised heck with the guy who was stealing from me a few years ago.

you take away the facade and who is a supporter and who isn`t, 99% of the time it depends if your back is getting rubbed or not. mtp, nta, nafa, state sales, groany, non res, trapping sites, all of it. those supporting are getting some $ or power in one way or another, those not it is being taken from them. that is how it works in the real world. right or wrong depends if you are the taker or the been taken.
