I've seen the pictures where some of you colorado guys hang a brown fake fur type deal with an eye glued to it. How much money do you have in one of those? do the cats destroy them when you make a catch?
I got some tanned ranch mink heads from moscow hide and fur for about a dollar apiece and been hanging those in the cages put my lure / fox pee on them. caught a couple cats now and the mink heads are fine just brush off and re hang.
only problem is they are not quite as big as id like. anyone want to go into how they make or what they use in the cage. fresh rabbit / pheasant is a pain to use especially when you catch a coon or possum and have a giant mess

First off the credit for the "critter" belongs to Stacy Yancy and Reid Anton (sp) Price is indicative of what you use but mine cost .20 or so. If you use the right lure they will be destroyed other wise they can be re-used. Most hobby shops have the fur . mine are 3.5 inches wide and 10 inches long then folded over and hot glued together .Hot glue the eyes add a wire hanger and go.
Lure is smeared on the back of the fur and hung in the back. small squit of urine on the floor. I have used the fox faces w/eyes attached with good results but cost is greater.
