That is a lot of work to build traps like this. Not only to build them but building them in your mind first .Takes a person some time and a lot of tools. Phil thanks for the sharing your thoughts and knowledge.

Lynxy i'm afraid the 70's prob burn more brain cells than i have left. thanks for the input guys this ole mobilly needs all the help i can get. I'll take a ic a my cage and maybe between all of us we can come up with a trigger system that works. My Pan set up is in the rear a the cage and for some reason i wanted to run everything off the pivot rod of the pan on the out side of the cage. Pictures will help iam sure.

One man can not give another man work ethic ,fortitude to accomplish his goals, nor the experience that one has. I take no credit for your talent.

Bill
I am trying to understand how the trigger unit marries up to the door to hold it up, and drop it when then chain is activated. I see how it all works except how the piece on the door holds the door up so well and drops the door when the time comes. I like your setup. Can you explain further? I can almost see it in the photo, but not quite getting it.

So the trigger just uses the weight of the open door to rest against the the trigger bar. When the trigger bar is activated it swings downward which frees up the trigger and the door drops? I like the angle that your door sits at I have a substandard setup that the doors "droop" down further than I want them to.
