Wire lever spring kit for those who want to modify their own traps. Equal in power to a pair of #2 music wire springs, spread out over 4 coils. Conventional wisdom on 4 coiling small traps is out the window! Faster than stamped levers out of the ground, and great holding power, given the slight flex in the wire lever. And easier to set than a stock 1.5 trap. Also works on 1.75 and 1.65 size traps with modification to the jaws so the levers ride up higher. $5.00 ea. or $54.00 per dozen, larger discounts given for large quantities. I will be selling completed traps closer to the season, fully modified with a range of pan and dog options; or will modify your traps for you. PM me or e-mail me on my web site...thanks Jason!

Very very nice. On a side note, what is the story about the trap with the huge cut out pan at the bottom right of the second pic? I have never seen that pan configuration before and am very curious.

Red looks like it would make a heck of a mink trap with that pan

Thing about a 4 coiled trap is it is MUCH more stable...straighter to come up when fired...and easier to bed.... I USED to take of the #3 coils off my vic's and put on 4 1 1/2 coils.....4 #3 coils were a BEAR to set and ALWAYS tweaked things... got that from Mel H... NICE guy... miss the old German!! lynx

Looks like the Bridger #3 is in the lead for next in line...should work on most 3's and 4's out there with a little tweaking.

I always wondered why the commercial trap companys like Duke, Victor and Sleepy Creek didn't manufacture there #3 & #4 coilsprings in this manner. Soft catches as well!

Very nice work alderrun, I also do Trap Mod work and know good work when I see it. I'm sure the Lynxter can really appreciate your work also. I know he's a man of many talents on a Trap . do you do any Business with Dealer's on you spring kit's? I would be interested in stocking them in my Trapping supply shop if so.

alderrun I was just wondering when you think you'll have the Kits ready for the No.3 bridger? Like I said on another forum, I'll take a few dozen, looks to me like you've done what the big trap companys couldn't!....B...

not much chance of them working on old #2 montgomeries is there? I got 5 dz I just found in barn still in boxes last year and want to use them, plus a bunch I have been using in my convent.

Sorry they won't work on the #2 Monties. What a find though!

Will you be making them to fit 1.75s and 2s, so it wouldn't be necessary to make modifications to the jaws in order for the levers to ride higher?
