Bobcat64, I edited my last post so I won't give the wrong impression. I only transferred to glass because I've read it is better to store in glass, and I had some perfect glass bottles laying around already. I have no inside knowledge to prove it is necessary. So don't hear me saying plastic is bad.
Bob, I don't know where he got it, but I bought a pint of urine from Rich Casper at a NE trapping convention about four years ago. On the bottle is a label that says "Bob Wendt Red Fox Urine". No idea where Rich got it, but I know what real pee is because of that. It was the real deal. And now I'm scared to buy any from a popular supplier.

Glass is ultimately the best for storage. If your storing a couple gallons and have some glass bottles, nothing wrong with it, just don't let the cat knock one off the shelf

THE CAT SHOULD BE IN ANOTHER GALLON GLASS WIDE MOUTH JUG. AND DON`T KNOCK THAT ONE OVER EITHER.

I have some good stuff from a guy Bob used to sell bulk to left over in plastic that I think I'll put in glass today, I can't even imagine taking a shower in it like our fearless leader said he did.

I'll have to check my trap shed but I believe I have 3 gallon of fox P from a fella that Hawbaker told me to buy from and a gal of yote p from Jamison all in plastic. {yup spelling is terrible}
Question for Bob...give me a simple answer cause I'm a simple man on what you would do with it, freeze and if so HOW, put in glass? They stuff that might be settled in the bottom? Help.

no need do anything to it if it`s good pee, except switch from plastic to glass. same on the bottom crystal silt. the bottom stuff use as lure, you won`t need anything else at the set, nada zip zero. once you use that bottom grit( it`s tiny crystals) no one will be able to sell you much of anything anymore. I get a kick out of the posts on dobbins arguing about sets and if dirtholes work all the time and claiming they only get the dumb ones. the dumb ones are those poor scmucks that make perfect sets where there are no coyotes and they have no good attractors. those guys could follow me with their fancy flat sets and whatever other kinds and real fast see there are no coyotes left. just kind of rolled on, couldn`t help myself. it gets real old, real fast, some 10-20 coyote a year guy saying numbers guys leave the smart ones. nah, we get them all, if they are there when we are there. when there are no more tracks, they are all dead ,till new ones move in. the new ones are just as easy. just new is all.

Bob, how much of them crystal silts are used per set? Is a little urine left with it and used with a few drops in a liquid form or is a stiffener added and made into a paste? Just asking for a few more of your hard earned secrets.

On another urine note. I saved all the bladder urine from this years cats and had a little from last year left also. Got just shy of a half gallon. When I collected it each time I noticed that it appeared to be very light colored and transparent, not dark like the coyote/fox pee I have bought. Looked at it yesterday and was suprised to see a 1/4" layer of silt in the bottom. Gots to be good stuff, I know it is 100% pure bladder urine. What to do? Sell it and retire, look at it and admire or use it and multiply my money?

the silt you can use however you want. about a thumbnail size glob works great. use as is, with a little pee, or stiffen with terre sorb. I like the terre sorb especially in the west where it blows all the time in open areas as it is an anti dessicant. the only way it will dry is if a plant sucks it`s water out. sun and wind can`t physically dry it hardly at all. while you are at it dye it black with whatever. same thing with skunky ldc as that way every sunny day it re-poops itself when it absorbs heat rather than reflect it. I never could figure the physiology of dark skinned people near the equator and lighht in the north. seems it would be the opposite. the learnig wasn`t hard at all buff, just took a lot of doing and experimenting and lots of miles. no brain surgery, just field experience. I never had a teacher so had no bad preconceived ideas in my brain . I tried lots of off the wall stuff, most of which was worthless. but did gain a few gems on rare occasions, then just repeated/remembered them.
